Katie Sikel, RN, BSN, CFCS
Nurse Owner
Katie Sikel, a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience, founded The Foot Nurse, LLC in 2016. Her nursing career includes work as a Cardiac Nurse at United Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, and the VA Hospital, with the majority of her career spent in home care. During her 13 years in home care, Katie recognized a significant unmet need for foot care. Determined to fill this gap, she pursued specialized training and earned her certification in foot care. Since then, Katie has been dedicated to providing expert foot care and helping others maintain health and mobility.
Passionate about addressing the growing demand for quality foot care, Katie is committed to training other nurses and serving the community. In her free time, she enjoys raising her children, traveling, reading, and staying active.

Kjersti
Kjersti Nelson is a registered nurse with over 27 years of experience in healthcare, including hospital nursing, clinic leadership, and nursing education. She spent nearly a decade as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at St. Catherine University, where she trained and mentored future nurses while maintaining a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Kjersti is passionate about holistic nursing and supporting older adults as they navigate changes in health and mobility.
Outside of nursing, Kjersti enjoys music and finds great fulfillment in helping others maintain comfort, independence, and quality of life.
